Spring is just around the corner! In this relaxed and fun workshop, Helen will guide you through her step-by-step process to create your own botanical painting of a lovely spring flower with watercolours.
Think irises, crocuses, snowdrops, daffodils…
Suitable for beginners, and those with a little more experience!
You will gain a deeper understanding of:
How to create an accurate botanical drawing
How to stretch watercolour paper effectively
How to transfer your drawing to watercolour paper
Observing form through light and shade
Mixing accurate botanical colours with watercolours
Watercolour techniques, including wet-in-wet, layering, blending & dry-brush, to help you develop your own style
The intricacy and beauty of nature, and the therapeutic benefits of studying plants & putting paint to paper.

A goodie bag including a plywood art board and three brushes recommended by Helen to take away at the end of the day (to keep painting!)
