An exciting class upcoming in a brand new venue - the beautiful Micklem’s Farm. This wonderful family run flower farm have a studio on site - perfect for a day of painting in the Buckinghamshire countryside.

In this relaxed and fun workshop, Helen will guide you through her step-by-step process to create your own botanical painting with watercolours.

Suitable for beginners, and those with a little more experience.

You will gain a deeper understanding of: 

  • How to create an accurate botanical drawing

  • How to stretch watercolour paper effectively

  • How to transfer your drawing to watercolour paper

  • Observing form through light and shade

  • Mixing accurate botanical colours with watercolours

  • Watercolour techniques, including wet-in-wet, layering, blending & dry-brush, to help you develop your own style

  • The intricacy and beauty of nature, and the therapeutic benefits of studying plants & putting paint to paper. 

Includes:

  • All materials for use during the workshop

  • Lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
