    Fundamentals of Botanical Art

    An introduction to the foundations of botanical art. Suitable for beginners, as well as those with a little more experience. Helen will guide you through her step-by-step process to create your own botanical painting with watercolours. 

    If you’re ready to develop more detailed and realistic work, the Botanical Art: Dive Deeper workshop builds on these foundations.

    An immersive 3 day workshop designed for artists ready to deepen their botanical art practice held in the beautiful West Green House.

    This workshop is best suited to those with prior experience. If you are new, you may wish to begin with the Fundamentals of Watercolour.

Your Tutor

Helen Cousins is a botanical illustrator based in Kent, England. She holds the Society of Botanical Artists Distance Learning Diploma, graduating with distinction and receiving the Award for Excellence in 2016.

Alongside her work as a doctor, she teaches botanical illustration through courses and workshops designed to help artists build strong foundations in watercolour and botanical technique.
